Cheryl Greengrove, founding science faculty at the University of Washington Tacoma, shares how she connects her research in the Salish Sea with teaching undergraduate students how to become effective, ethical, and essential scientists in the South Puget Sound. Her initial vision of experiential learning in one’s environment has continued to be the foundation of programming in UWT’s Environmental Science Major.
